2004 – Lothar Baumgartner – Arte x vino = acqua

In a project curated by Tate Modern director Vicente Todolì, six well-known international artists were invited to produce labels for six prestigious Italian wines, in a major campaign to gather funds for communities without access to water.
The project, launched by the Associazione Arte Continua in collaboration with the Sant’Egidio Community, funded water plants for deprived areas in Brazil, India, Senegal, Israel-OPT, Ghana, Mozambique, China, Haiti and elsewhere.
Lothar Baumgartner designed the label for Castello di Ama. The label was applied to a limited number of bottles, crates of which were sold at auction around the world.
